PZ 2013 I: Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union

28 November 2013 The theme of the first issue in English version 2013, I is the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The authors make an attempt to estimate the completion of intentions and plans, the expectations, the effects of actions and the achievements or weaknesses of Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The authors point out the problems resulting from the obligatory tasks of the presidential country and own Polish initiatives.

However, it is not possible to consider any kind of presidency in isolation from the condition of the whole European Union and the influence of global trends, priorities, assumed scenarios, their methods of implementation and effects, thus there are texts showing many touchy problems of the EU.

Przegląd Zachodni in English version was funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education ("Index Plus" programme, project number: Ix P0209 2012).
