This year, nearing its end, has been full of events which make the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union more and more likely - this variant is often called "Brixit" by columnists. It would be one of the most important moments in the history of European integration - a history which has recently been filled with black stains of economic and political instability. The skeptical position of the government of David Cameron towards the EU is largely determined by the course of political life within the United Kingdom.
