The activity of Islamic terrorists is currently the greatest threat for the international security. Modern Islamism is a multifaceted phenomenon. Usually, it is linked with a radical salafism (e.g. jihadism), which is a misinterpretation deriving from either ignorance or islamophobia. Radical Islamic communities became a serious threat for the European Union sensu largo and for the member states' governments sensu stricto.
