No 64 - Events in North Africa and the transatlantic system
In recent months we observed some events that should give a new impetus to the transatlantic relations, or at least become an acknowledgment of the value and importance of that political system - and not only for its members, but also for closer and further neighborhood. Revolts in North Africa and the Middle East, some NATO members intervention in Libya, U.S. President's visit on the European continent in May, and finally, the Pentagon chief farewell speech in Brussels in June - here are only the most important events that not only engaged the attention of politicians and analysts, but each of them had - in its own way - the transatlantic dimension.
