Poland less often constitutes a transit country for refugees and illegal immigrants looking for work in the West, then it use to be before accession to the European Union in 2004. More and more Chechen refugees settle here for good. In order to continue their journey Chechen people need to stay in Poland for at least one year in special facilities to complete the required procedures.
