The subject of the following article is the creation of the European Stability Mechanism, which is an instrument designed to battle the debt crisis in the eurozone. The author discusses the role of EU institutions and certain countries of the eurozone (especially the FRG) in the development of the instrument. Some critical opinions concerning the creation of the mechanism will be provided.
