Polityka Republiki Federalnej Niemiec wobec Polski w latach 1982-1991

The author analyses Polish-German political relations, paying special attention to the German point of view. The events of 1982-1991 are presented chronologically with references to earlier periods. Malinowski takes into account international relations as well as internal relations in Germany and Poland and their influence on bilateral contacts. In this way he has shown the uphill work which brought the two countries to the momentous period of 1989-1991 when the agreements which they concluded not only closed the post-war period of deep antagonism but also opened a new epoch in contact between German and Poles. The author has exhaustively discussed the subject, making use of extensive parliamentary and governmental documents, press commentaries as well as reminiscences and account by the main participants in the discussed events. The monograph is furbished with an extensive bibliography, an index of persons and a summary in Germany.
