PZ 2013 I: Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union

Przegląd Zachodni’svery first English-language edition (2013 I)is devoted to the Polish Presidency in the Council of the European Union. Itsauthors attempt to assess the delivery against the plans and expectations, the effectsof the actions taken, and the achievements and failings of the Polish presidency. The authors highlight the problems that result from the obligations of the country of presidency and from Poland's own initiativesas they attempt to recapitulate various outcomes and accomplishments. However, no presidency canbe reviewed without considering the background of the state of the entire union and the impacts of global trends, the adopted priorities and scenarios, the way they were implemented and their end results, which is why articles on a wide range of sensitive issues confronting the EU are also included.

The English-language version of Przegląd Zachodni was financed by a grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as part of the "Index Plus" program (Project Ix P0209 2012).
